Hi guys,
I'm looking to go to either the UAE or Qatar for a year. I'm a qualified primary school teacher, with 2 years teaching experience. But where do I start??!! I've read alot of the postings and it's a bit nuts, I have to admit.
I have a few questions....
1. Would you be able me names of agencies to get in contact with or do I have to contact the schools directly? I've seen seleceducation advertise a lot, as far as I know they are pretty good or are there better agencies out there..?
2. Are the teaching jobs normally English Teaching jobs like in Korea or is it whole clas teaching? Been doing the English teacher things and I would like to branch out a bit, if you know what I mean.
3. If anyone over there has taught in Korea, how would you compare the two?
Ok, enough questions, but more will probably creep up as time goes by...
Thanx for having a look.

If you have your teachers degree why don't you try to get into one of the international schools (and there are a ton of them in the uae).
do a web search for ISS and Search Associates the two main forums for overseas teacher recruitment. if you wanted a september start you could even hurry and get your resume in now as many international schools are scrambling to fill last positions. |

Avoid agency hires... apply direct to the schools themselves.
