I was looking at some poll results and I see that most of them have only about 16 replies i know there are more then 16 regular posters so what's going on? It must be some people just don't reply to polls! I don't know why more people don't. I like to reply to polls so I decided to find out how many people reply. Please reply to this one.

If people don't reply to polls, then you won't get much info from this poll, will you? |

I often reply to polls that I have nothing to say on the topic. I just like polls. |

I don't like the polls, so I don't vote in them. It's a voluntary opinion poll, so the data isn't too accurate. I don't understand people who post polls such as:
"Hey there everyone! I'm thinking of coming to Japan, which company should I choose because I have read over the forum, but still can't decide? Please help me! Thanks, and see you at the sumo tournament!!!!"
ECC
Nova
Aeon
Geos
Jet
Interac
I'm not sure what can be gained from such a poll?
A funny or interesting poll I might respond to:
Which tiny city is the best to visit for a weekend, or;
Does Sweetpea prefer grass or clay surfaces, or;
When will LARS reach 1000 posts, or;
Is the water in Osaka more delicious than Tokyo?
Those are just some ideas for you. |

I don't really get the pick a conversation school polls because most people probably only worked for one of them. I doubt anyone ever worked for all of them. Its hard to form an opinion when you dont have anything to compare to. Now if you asked me my favorite kind of sushi...theres a poll I would take part in. |

I don't usually respond to polls on these forums. I have found that they are made very poorly, so that the data is pretty useless to collect.
For instance, the poll here doesn't leave any room for gray area.
No, I don't respond.
Yes, I do.
What about people who respond most of the time (not always), part of the time (30-70%), or rarely? |

LARS your poll's choices were too limited, for me.
Did somebody say grass?
Enjoy,

Do you reply to polls? is a yes/no question. If you say "sometimes" that is "yes" |

i would say "bump" but instead....LARS where did you go?
edit: i would imagine that most realize the results of the poll are skewed...non-responders don't respond. |
