I mean, if you're a man, you should be able to talk to your employer man to man if he tries to screw you over. If he lies to my face, I will put up with it as long as it's feasible and then I will confront him about it. What's the worst that can happen - he'll fire me? Hah. At least I will be able to say that I worked in Japan and still kept my dignity.

PS: When exactly is Obon week?

OH MY GOD! NOW I SEE IT! YOU"VE JUST TOTALLY EXPLAINED EVERYTHING! it's because i'm not a MAN that i never confronted an employer. it's because i'm not a MAN that i have no dignity! none! THANK YOU ,NON-SMOKER, I WILL NOW GO AND GET A GENDER REASSIGNMENT AND MY ENTIRE LIFE WILL CHANGE!

obon is the second tuesday in march, i believe.

Oh my god, why do women get so upset over this? Just replace the word man with woman in what I said and you'll be fine. Must be that time of the month Rolling Eyes .
