Can anyone tell me anything about the school, other than what the info-mercial website has to offer? The good, bad, and the ugly, are all greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance. |

Hope you like it hot. It's about the only established national plus school around Jakarta that DOESN'T have a/c in the classrooms. |

You've got to be kidding! I thought all national plus schools have A/C!
A former co-worker of mine informed me that Santa Laurensia is using a curriculum called "CALLA", is it working? I know that several main stream American schools use CALLA, but was unaware that it is used in Asia.
I am inquiring, because I might apply at Santa Laurensia.
Is the work environment, decent? In other words, does the head of department or pincipal support the teachers? |

A former co-worker of mine informed me that there is a massive turn-over rate of English teachers at Santa Laurensia, with all of the high school Englishers teacher quitting this year?????
This strikes me as very strange and there is probably a very good reason behind it....other than the lack of A/C or the use of old chalk boards and huge class sizes? Prior to pursuing possible employment, would anyone be so kind and provide some information about this alleged national plus school. I dread to think that this is a typical Indonesian school exploiting their expat teachers and using them as a sales gimmick to increase enrollments, like EF's do. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. |

Thanks Sherlock. Have already done research and checked the other postings, but no definitive answers to certain questions. Maybe it would be best to seek employment at better "recognized" schools in the area, such as Binus. Thanks none the less. |
