Assuming the jobs available for a newly CELTA'd teacher with little experience are fairly similar - free flat, about $700-$800 a month, would you choose to work in Kiev or Moscow? And why? |

Kiev is a much easier place to live than Moscow, and is also somewhat cheaper (I say somewhat because the question assumes housing is already paid for).
The problem is that jobs paying $800/month+housing+air fare, etc are a dime a dozen in Moscow but very hard to find in Kiev. For example see the recent job posting by American English School in Kiev which pays $1000/month, with no meaningful benefits at all. That's typical. |
