Yes, you should contact them when you arrive. I don't think that's being too aggressive.
Here's another thing I didn't mention about Kojen in my original post. The other day, the head Chinese Teacher at Kojen asked me if I wanted to teach an "M" class. "M" is a class full of little kids who are just learing their "ABC's". Normally, this is the type of class that I try to avoid, but since I needed the hours, I said I would do it. The Chinese teacher, knowing that I prefer to teach adults, replied "Really? You can say no if you want to."
So, my point here is that at Kojen you have a choice to what you want to teach or don't want to teach. At Hess, I never had a choice. They always told me what I had to teach, and I couldn't say yes or no. There was one class at Hess that I absolutely hated. I had issues with the Chinese teacher in that class, and it was obvious we didn't like each other. I went to both the head NST and head CT, and I asked if I could stop teaching this class once the session had ended. They flat-out refused. After that, it was the beginning of the end of my time at Hess. |

| I teach at the Kojen in Taichung City, so I can only speak from my experiences there. |
