So, here's the latest.
Um............for those book lovers out there - there is some good news. Whilst out trying to decide what to spend my money on I stumbled across a new shop selling 2nd hand books. OK, so it has actually been around for 3 weeks but it's new to me.
It's in the small shopping centre by the 'Ferrari' centre (which now sells Peugots - guess not enough people wanted the ferraris). There's a decent range of books and they're all 500 fils. Very Happy

The new bar in the Gulf hotel opened a coouple of weeks ago - reports are varying. Seems to be quite nice but pretty expensive.

There's also a very good DVD place in Juffair - seems very popular with the Americans from the base. The guy has what must be thousands of dvds - including ones that would not be available in the shops here. pm me for more info as to his whereabouts........

And finally - to sports news - Bahrain will be playing their first 'proper' game as opposed to friendlies - against Indonesia on Tuesday.

Where is this shopping centre ? Does it have a name ? Address? Map coordinates ? Degrees of latitude and longitude ? What do the locals call it ?

Ok - for those of you that need directions (Scott) - here goes.
You know where the Ferrari centre is in Adliya - on the corner of Schwarma alley? It's right opposite - think the apartments above are the PHOENICA or something.

You need to walk up a few stairs and you'll see shops called 'Pleasant Home' and Jewel Box'. It's in there.

Simple, I'll scan in a map if necessary Laughing

Sorry, think they've sold out of ferraris-seems to be a Peugot dealership now. Oh dear, how will you manage?
