I was wondering when exactly would be the best time to look for work in Spain, in particular southern Spain- early or late september , to be exact. I have enquired about tickets but it seems the only flights available are late August and mid-late September - everything other time is booked full already! |

I'd be looking now... most schools will have timetables organised by the end of Sept for academic years starting at the beginning of Oct, so if you leave it until then you'll be missing out onjobs, or more lilkely to find positions left available after teachers drop out at the last minute. Trying to find work now doesn't necessarily mean you have to be in the country for interviews/training... my school offers video interviews for example. Good luck with the job hunting |

Don't panic if you can't find work now for the upcoming autumn, as there should still be work available when you come. Gmjones' school sounds very well organized, so I'd pm him for contact information and look into getting on there.
Otherwise, there are schools that don't prepare so far ahead and, of course, students who don't sign up for classes so far ahead either. In fact, some schools are hesitant to hire until the students have signed up.
Of the times you mentioned, perhaps take the late August flight as that will get you here in advance of the September/October student enrolling and teacher hiring time. It will also give you time to get a little settled.
