Having a bit of trouble with the の indefinite pronoun this week. Meaning, how to change sentences into sentences using the indefinite pronoun の
For example: 山口さんは、わたしのみぎにいます。
Is changed to: 私の右いるのは山口さんです
How would you change this sentence?
この本はたいへん有名です。
I changed it to: たいへん有名のはこの本です。
Mistake? |
Congratulations on taking up the effort to study Japanese. But, the best way to learn is to ask a handful of Japanese people what the correct usage is instead of relying solely on a textbook or a bunch of limited-Japanese proficiency teachers. One unintended consequence of doing that is that many will come to respect you for trying to learn their language and culture.
P.S. The answers I gave up above came from my wife. And, even though I understand the language pretty well, I still turn to her for help. |
