"If excepted by Little Schools of English, Peru you will...."

Maybe I am being picky, but if an English school is posting an ad, you would think they would have someone proofread it........

They probably asked one of their employees to do just that.
Look at my signature for more.

I received an email from a CELTA school stating how concerned they were with my perceived lack of knowledge of grammar, full of grammatical mistakes!

Makes you wonder..... Shocked

No big deal, if they accept various mistakes of their applicants.

If on the other hand they throw resumes in the circular file for not having the little marke on the e above resume, well, that'd be hypocritical.

I've known lots of schools where the person doing the hiring wasn't allowed anywhere near the curriculum.

Not so much a spelling error as a factual one.

The Shakespeare American School of English, in Tampico, Mexico.

"Most language schools are miserable places, bucket shops whose owners shamelessly claim that the flotsam and jetsam they employ are highly-qualified, hand-picked professionals."

Right on! I wish I had a dollar, or even a dime, for all the spelling and grammatical errors made on these forums by people who hold themselves out as English teachers.

But the schools are to blame too. If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys!

I don't mind the occassional error, but there are some people who ALWAYS seem to be too tired/lazy/drunk/drugged/uneducated to type properly. Their argument: 'Of cause i CUD taip betta, but gim mi breIk!'. A good response: 'Yes, but do you really ever try to?!'.
