Quite happy to smoke on a terrace,
I love the whaft of fresh smoke when sitting outside. it reminds me of all good times I had smoking. The smell of stale smoke on the other is horrible. I never noticed it before. Now, if I have been in a bar the night before I wake up and need to have a shower immediately.

A lone voice in the wilderness...I quite like having a cigarette after dinner. Quite happy to smoke on a terrace, or in a room away from non-smokers, think it's quite right that I can't in airports, hospitals, etc etc. But I would still like to have a cigarette after my dinner please.

I'm with you, lovelace.

Good for you, tararu! I think it must be extra hard to quit here. I want to quit too and I've really sucked at doing it at the time when I really should have. I mean, I went from a pack plus per day to 3-5 cigarettes a day, but that's not quitting and I'm bound to start up again full force as soon as I have a chance. I'm planning to try the most medicated route possible, since my willpower sucks-- patches, gum, anti-anxiety medication, whatever there is for this!

Patches worked for me. I was on them for 9 months though. It's actually quite difficult moving from the big patches then the middle patches then the smallest ones.

As of July 1st it is now illegal to smoke in public places in England. The same law was applied in Scotland ages ago.

Dmb, what about Chicha Arabisha and Nargile, are they also illegal in England and Scotland?

According to my local paper in the UK the Nargile cafes in my town will have to close or change. So yes it is now illegal.
