Not sure if this posted before or not, but I have some questions about Cuba. I am toying with the possibility of spending 6 months there starting next January mainly to travel all around the island and why not, enroll in a Uni to take some Spanish classes. Is it possible for foreigners to register in a university there? Which city would be best for that? And what's the maximum amount of time I could stay there on a tourist visa? (with a Canadian passport?).
Thanks. |

Tourist cards are valid for 30 days and can be renewed for another 30. I once managed to renew my card twice without having to leave the country.
Try Google for a list of universities. There's an International House language school in Santiago de Cuba.
You'll need a lot of money to keep you afloat for a six-month stay. |

I am considering spending 6 months or so in Cuba to learn Spanish and play the guitar. How much would a simple flat and associated costs be? |
