Is nova through, I had to leave them this summer. No chance of a come back?

My guess is probably not. Multiple lates and complaints in such a short time and then quitting in only 2 months are all going to count quite heavily against you, even with the letter from your supervisor. Those are all the things Nova hates most, apart from dating students. It sounds like you didn't really enjoy the job, so why would you want to go back anyway?

As for how long they keep your records, I left Nova 6 months into a new 3 year visa and when I called them 2.5 years later to get the severance documents I needed for my next visa renewal they still had my information. How much longer than that they might continue to hold on to information I can't really say.

And, moreover, why would you want to return to them anyway, especially in their current bad situation?

Well, sometimes people behave like humans instead of robots and end up being late! It happens.

I was late once in 2.5 years. Nova's hefty penalties for being late (half a day's pay docked plus any missed lessons deducted) were motivation enough to keep me from doing it any more than that. Some people were chronically late though and ended up losing huge chunks of their salary- some people aren't motivated enough by financial penalties I suppose.

As many have pointed out, resigning from Nova is a pretty simple business, yet the OP in recent months has asked quite a bizarre amount of questions about the ins & outs of doing this. I remember all this as I was one of those who tried to help out with some advice on a previous thread. And now whereas the OP before said he was resigning from nova due to an "opportunity at home", this has now become "an unforeseen occurence". Ok, those two are not necessarily mutually exclusive, but I'm sure I'm not the only one suspecting something fishy here.

In fact I really do hope the OP IS playing the troll with this thread or is just posting it for some kind of laugh as it has to be one of the least sensible questions I've ever seen on here. For gawd's sake, ask the same bloody question about ANY company - you resign after only a few months, and even in the short time you're there you accumulate a number of lates and complaints - what do you think their attitude towards a possible re-hire would be? Exclamation

Well things are kind of lax at nova. Also, I think they throw out the complaints if you they like you. Becuase of my lates I was not. Anyway, in the future I may want to come back for a spell.

That's a good story Jonny.

There isn't a fine line between a good and bad employee. You show up on time and do the job, you're a good employee. You show up habitually late or hung over and you're a bad employee. Honestly, not to pick on the OP at all, but reading some of the questions and stories on this board (and having f-up friends) makes me wonder how some people get jobs at all.
