| HCT has never, to my knowledge, put someone in a flat/villa that did not have kitchen cupboards. Provision of appliances depend on the landlord/building. |

Even in Oman which was famous for providing really stripped flats always had kitchen cabinets. I looked at dozens of flats once my employer gave me permission to leave the flat they had provided (with a major sewage problem). None had AC, but all had kitchen cabinets.
So Stephen, I guess you must be talking about Saudi Arabia?

| Saudi yes. You would get a sink and that would be it. |

I know it's off topic a bit, but in Netherlands you often don't get FLOORING. Much less cabinets!!
I mean that a third floor flat might have just the boards over the rafters between the two floors, or a concrete kind of surface that you absolutely have to cover with something before you can move in. And you're within your rights to take your flooring with you when you leave, obviously. |

| I'd hate to live in an apartment in the Netherlands. Just imagine the noise made from clogs on wooden floors! |

SJ... the only place I ever saw this situation was in Egypt and it was never for foreigner rentals. They are ALWAYS fully furnished with the most ghastly gilt stuff. |

I am with an international school; Abu Dhabi grammar school "The Canadian school". Thanks for all the feedback! Has anybody have any feedback on the school or its flats? I will let you all know pretty soon!
Good luck PW! Maybe we will run into each other! |

With these small places, it is unlikely that you will have anyone pass through here that knows it directly - especially right now when most people are traveling.
I'll go back to my original advice. Call or email your employer and ask them.
