HI there, i am soon to be starting a trinity cert tesol course and will be moving to turkey next year and hope to teach english there. In the meantime i was wondering what the chances are of getting employment in the uk, in surrey or london areas with only a tesol certificate and no degree. if anyone has any advice i would really appreciate it or if you know any good websites, schools etc that employ teachers without degrees thankyou, frannie |

If you have no degree then you have an even weaker bargaining position than many - you will probably find some schools willing to hire you especially in London but if you need to earn more than pocket money you have little to no chance of securing more than occaisdional work by being in the right place at the right time. |

Schools in London (those not recognised by the British Council) are so desperate for teachers the last thing they'll worry about is whether you have a degree or not, just a CELTA is enough. The last school I worked at there were trying to hire passing backpackers - literally, they were pulling Australians, South Africans etc. in off the streets. |
