I'm leaving next week for Taiwan. I've accepted a job at Kojen in Taipei. I don't know which location I'll be teaching at. Are there amazing schools, or ones to be avoided? Is it possible/advisable to request a specific school? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I'm so excited!!! |

You will be fine at Kojen.
They will pay you on time, treat you like a human being and you will be allowed to get on with your job. Straightforward really. I know a few Kojen teachers here and from their reports you should have a good time. The same can't be said of all other schools here.
If you know Taipei well, then you might want to ask for a certain location (for whatever reason). If not, they are all fairly well located so it won't make much difference to you anyway. You can still live wherever you want.
Hope this helps!

don't forget, they want you as much as you want a job, so you do have some bargaining power, be straight up about your concerns, and see what you can get them to do for you |
