Anyone done this course? www.boland-iettc.com It's for those who want to become trainers. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I can't say anything about the quality of the training but here are a few points:

Plusses:
- Boland seems to be a bit ahead of the pack in CZ in organizing this kind of thing.
- Lots of support and definite answers to pre-sale questions.
- Seems to be well organized.

Minusses:
- Might be some prejudice against graduates among certain circles of UK - based TEFL Trainer programs.
- You have to do the training in China.

Ms. Boland has been working on this program for over 5 years so I suppose she's got most of the kinks out. On the other hand it is "her show" so I'm not sure how open she has been to criticism over those five years.

Let us know how it goes.

I love your comment about the boland teacher trainer course. You said because it's 'hers' she might not be open to criticism.

You've got your finger on the pulse there. Ms Boland is totally oblivious to even constructive criticism - and one of the reasons is that it might take her over budget, and that would never do, never mind the practicality. Another is good old tunnel vision.

If you've seen my comments on the basic trainees' syllabus, you would understand if I said all should give a wide berth to any suggestion of completing a trainers course. A very wide berth.
