In that case, I will change my name to "Minus15points" ... if you're English I think you know what I mean!

Oh! Crying or Very sad Even if United and Leeds fans aren't supposed to see eye to eye, it is sad to what has happened. Ridsdale has a lot to answer for!

And MO`s 39 refers to her age after you do some extensive arithmetic exercises with it.

Geaaronson, your mathematical skills are exceeded only by your gallantry towards "older" women!

mine, like Dixie, is my last name... and no it is not "the mad hatter" or "thermometer" tho I think both are funny! Laughing

Thelma was my mom's last name and "datter" is Norwegian for "daughter" (I actually knew my Norwegian great-grandparents who "came over on the boat"). I changed my last name to this after I divorced to honor my mom who raised me and my sister solo and who died in 1983.... far far far too young (age 44) from lung cancer.

MO... I think it applies to remember back in school when a boy would make fun of a girl..... it usually meant that he liked her! Wink

In this case, geaaronson's comment may stem from the fact that we knew each other way back when we were both much younger, in our salad days, so to speak, in Boston in the 1970s. We lost touch for many years, and were reunited recently on-line, courtesy of Dave's!

My wife just happens to have the same name, although with a slightly different spelling, as an extremely talented Real Madrid midfield dynamo. How many people watched Madrid thinking
"Beck's has had a great game , he's everywhere!"
not realising that for a time Guti had the same hairstyle and was doing most of the work!

It's nice that you resurrected this thread - now I know better some of those who still post now. The information that I have gotten from all you has always been interesting and frequently very helpful.

I originally joined in 2008 under another name - a nickname my son made up for me that I frequently use. Mainly, I just asked a few questions now and then about working in Mexico. When I got serious about it in 2010, I found that I had been deactivated from this forum after not posting for a few months. So a new user name had to be invented. It is short for Jaime Martinez Garza - an alias that I foolishly made up for myself 40 years ago when I was young and had dark hair and wore Mexican style glasses.

Once, when I was in the bus station in Puebla, a woman thought I was an ADO bus driver. She was trying to get me to let her on a bus that I was hurrying to to board, even though she didn't have a ticket. I couldn't figure why she was so persistent and she almost made me miss the bus. When the bus driver told me to hurry and get on, I suddenly realized that I was wearing pants, a shirt and thin black tie just like him!

No idea what's in them, I think it's requeson and chile guajillo, but anything orange and spicy that can be fried at least twice has to be good.

Twice-fried sounds good to me, even though it would wreak havoc with my cholesterol levels!
