I am thinking of applying for a PhD course at the University of Malaya in Education.
Their PhD course is mostly by research, distance, with little attendance at the school. The fees also seem to be reasonable, certainly compared with North American Institutes. I think the fees are around $2500-$3000 per year for tuition.
Has anyone done their doctoral program in Education there?
And finally, do you think doing a PhD at an Asian University is worth the expense and effort in time?
By the way, the Univ. of Malaya is Malaysia's oldest ranking University, and many of Malaysia's most prominent figures attended the school, so it is certainly not a 'diploma mill.' Google the school and you will see. It is 'University of Malaya' - not University of Malaysia.....as many think. The original spelling has been conserved.
Thanks for any feedback you may have.
