I was in Szczecin last Spring for an Alec Empire show. Great show: the venue was the basement of this old Gothic church.

The city itself seemed kind of sleepy. Is there much going on there?

Hey Shake,
Szczecin is ok, it's not the best city in Poland but it caters for my needs. Really depends on ones lifestyle and what they want from a city. I like it because its not flooded with native speakers but you do get a lot of danish, swedes and germans that flock here for cheap shopping and girls:)
It's a bonus because its only 1hour and a half away from Berlin. The clubs are ok and theres always work available. Best man to ask is Kymro who has been here for numerous years.
Checkout www.szczecin.pl it may answer some of your questions.
