| Most are British but there are also a few 'colonials' including those from North America. Chances are slim for Americanos. |

BAE do hire Aussies and they were hiring Americans as well i think.
They tend to hire a lot of retreads there but as BAE have a new contract with the Saudi government they should be looking for more teachers in the near future.
Send in an application and try your luck. |

Pay no attention to Scot 47, who has never worked for BAE.
No, they don't only hire Brits. They also hire Americans, Canadians, South Africans, Austrailians, New Zealanders and the Irish.
Turn over has been fairly high recently, but that was because BAE discontiued the Retention Bonus this year. They increased salary soon after, and that counts towards the company pension, so people who had been employed for a long time stood to gain overall. Those who had joined on the promise of virtually 50,000 pounds a year felt short changed.
Working conditions are what you make of them In terms of preparation, there is not too much too do. The materials are well written, and the time span for courses is often so short that there really isn't time to include supplementary materials anyway.
The amount of effort expended in really TEACHING the stuff can be vast. It depends very much on the particular class you get, and how (de) motivated they are. |

How many non-Britsih are teaching English with BAE ? A small minority.
Mr Mcbeath is right. I have never worked for BAE - or any other death merchants. Neither have I visited Antarctica, but I know it is cold there. |

I believe BAE recruits through different contractors like SDT and STA. That could explain the different nationalities. As for "direct hires ",unless HM has taken over the colonies, I am pretty sure they hire mainly Brits as salaries are paid into UK bank accounts in Pounds Sterling.

The Australians i know at BAE were hired through a branch of BAE or recruiter in Australia and were paid in an Australian bank account in Australian dollars. The salary was converted from British pounds. The Aussies got slightly less than the Brits.
The majority of employess are British with a few opther colonials thrown in.
I wouldn't have any moral compunctions about working for BAE.
The fact that you signed a contract in Saudi means that you are already morally bankrupt in any case!!!
You go to Saudi for the money and BAE pays the best so why not? |
