Hey Guys,

A few months ago while on a weekend jaunt to Nantucket, a friend introduced me to a wonderful girl who was in Ack as an Au Pair. I soon found out she was from Argentina.

Oddly enough, her host families "normal home" (they have like 4, it's ridiculous) is right near my ONLY home in CT. We've been hanging out a lot and have become really good friends.

I recently found out that she has loads of money herself (her family does, anyway.) Her dad is in Real Estate, and was one of the smart ones who converted nearly all his money to dollars and stuck it in an American bank before the crash.

She is trying to convince me to give Bs. As. a try. She claims that she can be my "guarantee" (sorry, forgot how to spell it en espanol) so that I can get a sweet place and share it with some expats. She also claims that she can help me find a niche as a tutor to the well-to-do in Bs. As.

I am currently an aide in a Resource Room in CT while pursuing my Masters in Social Studies and SpEd. I have spent a year teaching English in both Prague, CR and Ulsan, SK.

Here are my questions: can I continue my masters in BA? Do they have any recognized Masters programs which would allow me to work both back home (allowing I persue certification) and abroad, in International Schools? Will I really be able to make enough money to break even month to month? (School will be on Loans.) Finally, considering I have a guarantee, will I be able to work out a better deal than the typical room share?

To anyone who made it this far, you're the best. To anyone who actually responds, you're better than the best. (Is that possible?)

Anyway, let me know

Swimmer

I can't say much because I haven't been here for long, but I think you're on the right track with your friend. Before making the final decision, I would ask myself how much I like and trust this girl if she is going to be your garanta. There are definitely some rich people in Buenos Aires and it wouldn't hurt to get to know them. I have been teaching in Chile for a little while now. I'm sorry I can't say more.
