I've four years teaching experience, (three abroad), and am qualified at the Masters level (M.Ed) but no B.Ed
Would it be advisable/not too difficult to simply travel to Oman or the U.A.E. to look for work? |

If you're seeking university level positions, then I would say you have a good few opportunities in the UAE and Oman-there are more opps for decent jobs in the UAE w/ those credentials vs. Oman. Do you have experience teaching English at the tertiary level? |

The Gulf is not a place where one shows up and goes job searching. Anything you may find will likely be illegal... without work visa or decent pay or salary. You want to avoid being 'local hire.
With an Master's and making the assumption that you have been teaching Academic English (language school conversation courses are not much use on the CV), you need to go through the proper application procedures. Most of the better employers have online applications.

I should have read that more closely. Def. worth planning ahead and applying from 'home' as VS said. |

Do you mean to say you don't have a first degree or your first degree is not in education? |

i have a ba in English, a Masters in Education, and a uni tesl/tefl certificate.
i specified that i have no B.Ed. because i realize that having no B.Ed. usually precludes the possibility of working in international schools and many Ministry of Education positions.....that's been my experience anyways
thanks,
