If you are considering a job or job offer from a major English Teaching Company in Kuwait (IPE-TQ [now just TQ], Qualitas [with its recruiting arm SOS / EDU], HumanSoft which is morphing into something else, ELS and now Language Solutions,
here is the low down from someone who's been there/done that ....

1) The management of these institutes more often than not know nothing of education. Their decisions will reflect this. E.G. Expect the cheapest, most out dated books/materials/methods....zero technology besides the shared PC in the staff room and an un-reliable copier. ...CALL to them means using the exercises on eslcafe.com or the outdated audio-lingual ALC material (violating the copy right) in which a room full of head-phoned students parrot the tape "This is a cap."....slapping together parts of a 'curricullum' which don't match or compliment each other.
2) A hidden secret is 'blind resume trolling' in which these companies amass resumes around which they solicite major contracts (oil company, ministry of defense and national guard are the largest). Don't be surprised if you send your resume, then are asked for passport copy and promising emails let no where as they used you to get the contract then offered the job to someone else (at a cheaper salary). I've even been called to the HR Dept to 'beef up' my resume.

You're not a professional to these organizations, you're an employee.
