Does anybody know it/have first hand experience? I was interested due to "Whisky" film -- upon further research it seems to be located on the beach with lots of stupid skyscrapers a la Guayaquil (and from the photos that I've seen "con despacio" comes to mind if that makes any sense).

Anyway any feedback would be well-recieved:)
i'm sure all you English teachers can also tell me if I misspelled anything;)

allison

I think it's a boring city. It's an hour or 2 away from Buenos Aires, which is similair but a bajillion times more interesting.

i wouldnt say that it is boring.. its a lot smaller that B.A and doesn't have all the jAZZ that B.A does...
it is a small town.. with lots of interesting archeticture... and nice people.. there are lots of cultural programs (tango, painting, languages...the list goes on.. clown.. etc.) and there are always festivals ...
the old city is very interesting.. and well i love it here.. montevideo not so much.. but along the coast it is gorgous!!!

There is a job currently posted for Guilford School and it sounds fantastic. Does anyone know about this school and what their reputation is?? I hadn't looked into Uruguay previously and I would like to apply for this job but I don't know very much about Uruguay in general.
