I thought you had to visit your home country in order to apply for a work permit. Has this changed? Is it true that Ankara can now process them? Has anyone successfully done this yet?

yes it's possible to do it without leaving turkey. you need an ikamet first, then a signed turkish contract, then your school/employer sends your stuff to ankara, about 4 mths later theyll stamp it into your ikamet.
