i'm curious if anyone has been to vietnam recently & could provide a little info.
i'm going to vietnam for the holidays and am in dire need of a tourist visa, but there is little exact info available online. and the vietnam embassy in tokyo is not answering their phones or emails.
i already have the application but i have no idea how much it costs to process a single entry visa. i could just send it off with the 8000yen a multi entry visa cost but....i'm cheap.
thanks. |

I think it was about 5-6000 yen for a single entry visa in decemeber/January (I bought a multiple visa as I went to Cambodia on the same trip). But I would suggest just visiting the embassy as it takes all of about 10-15 minutes normally to receive your visa. Unless of course you don't live within shouting distance of Tokyo. |

tokyo is essentially a world away from me....
end of story: single entry costs 6000 yen, multiple 8000 yen |

not quite directly related to your needs but related to the topic.....6,000 yen for a single entry visa? wow. they sure do mark it up here in japan. i got my visa for vietnam while i was in cambodia earlier this year. 1 day turnaround for $USD31. all of the travel places in phnom penh charged about the same. almost half.... |
