Taken in this order (Sun Yat-Sen University, GUFS, and GUT), GUT is one of the best universities in Guangdong and ranks in the top 50, I believe, in China, according to Beijing-issued rankings.
Pay is definitely above average for GZ but you will actually be expected to teach and not "wing it". Housing is standard for GZ, not great, not bad, just standard. Additionally, it is not in an isolated, remote area and you will have easy access to the city itself.
Not an easy nut to crack, so to speak, and if they were to make an offer, and if I were you, I would probably accept it.
