I am looking to come over to Asia mid-2008. I keep flip-flopping between korea, taiwan, and china but am highly considering China. The work load over there seems to be the smallest, judging from the posts, and the lifestyle seems good.

Saving money is important for me, but not important enough to get me to Korea (something about reading about korea is depressing). Taiwan seems like a good option but also seems unappealling somehow. Anyhow, looking into china... I am interested in just being in an interesting city/town with a decent expat population to hang out with. Suzhou seems cool, Dalian and Beijing seem to attract me.

Any advice on these cities or others? (Kunming and Xiamen seem great too but the job outlook and pay seem poor).

Also, what kind of pay/job can I expect with a 4 year BA, but no TEFL experience whatsoever. And people say to come there and then find a job....BUT, will I then get airfare reimbursement, and does anyone have any success stories about lining a job up ahead of time/using a recruiter?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

It is easy to get a job ahead of time but you have to pay your airfares up front; most places pay them back to you after a year. Plenty of places will take you on without experiance just apply all over the place and see what comes up.
