actually, it's 4 days of leave if the person is a rehire but 6 days of leave if the person is a new hire.

And as for the old post, apparently, if you violate the rules you get deleted. They could have just deleted the offending post and not the whole thread but that's the way it goes.

Not the word that I would use. Most of what Vinnell does they do with retired military so they are very good at recruiting them. English teacher recruitment, the other hand, they don't do so well. Doesn't make them a bad company they just need constant pushing in this regard.

So get the cheapskates to pay the nominal fee to put an ad up here and the MODs will not be so quick to delete.

You could even write the silly ad for them!! Laughing It is really rather obnoxious of them to pass recruitment off to the teachers.

It seems that scot47 has the same problem this time as last time -- IF a teacher recruits another, he gets a few days off. Extra something for extra effort.

scot47 - don't they do this at your school? If not, why not? Maybe you have it so good that no teachers ever leave?

At the very least, the administration has a living reference standing in front of them recommending the new staff - I think it is better than some of the contrived 'reference' letters that I've seen cross my desk.

I do know that some American companies use alternative rewards for the employees that give an extra effort.

And VS you are very correct - they should advertise for teachers. However, they do have very good access to American military retirees and don't have to do much advertising for many, if not all, of their jobs.

Yes, but how many ex-military sorts have TEFL qualifications? Some yes, but
