I purchased a one way ticket to Costa Rica for a great price in early November. I then promptly found out that you must have a roundtrip ticket to enter the country. I called Immigration in the San jose Airport, and they confimed this. Is this absolutely true? Has anyone been able to circumvent this? I wanted to stay and teach until December. However, the ticket I purchased is only good for one year from the day I purchased it. So that brings me back in early November. Is this going to be a problem with the schedule of many schools? Should I just buy a one way ticket back to the States right before I leave next month, so that I might stay until December '08?
Please offer any help or advice that you can. Thank you!

See the post I recently made titled "A reusable oneway..." Numerous people have done it, and having proof of onward travel seems to be the ticket (pun intended). |

teachwrite,
Thanks for your reply. I actually found that whole post right after I had made this one. I felt silly, then. Thank you for your response, though. I appreciate it greatly.
