Can anyone give me an estimate of the pricing of flights from Hong Kong to Taipai or Kaohsiung
As well, if I'm going to get a studnets visa, do I need to leave the island with my tourist visa to get it?
how much are the courses usually?

Metalgeek, your questions are a little vague and broad. That's probably why you haven't had any replies.
You should narrow your search by searching this forum. For example; hit the search button and type in "visas". That's always a good place to start. There's also a must read thread at the top of this forum that answers a plethora of general quesitons about Taiwan. While you're at it, go to the the www.tealit.com page for other answers.

As for your questions about Taipei/Hong Kong/Taipei, it all depends on time of year and airline. The average price is about $250 US on China Airlines, but you could do better.

And your question about courses? What courses?

Chinese language courses required for a student to extend their tourist visa or obtain a student ARC!
In a government sanctioned school that is authorized to teach Chinese to foreigners, it is any where from 6000Nt. a month for a small school to 15,000 in some of the national universities.
Shop around.
A.
