I saw the poll about how people found their job in Peru, but it doesn't do too much for me since I dont really know where to start.
Right now, Im in my second year teaching in Korea and am interested in teaching in Peru next. How would you suggest finding a job? Online? In country? I only saw one post on the job board. |

First of all check out the LA job list, where you will find info about lots of schools in Peru.
Second, try to make connections with people who are in Peru. Many times on the board here there will be info about jobs in Peru.
Third, if all else fails, come and look for a job here, though realise that many schools don-t want to get teachers a work visa. The exception to this is primary, secondary, and universities. |

Well, I forgot that I had made this thread a year ago. Im back in the states and have my airline ticket arriving in Lima the 17th. I'll probably travel for a little while and then head up to Trujillo, where I am planning on teaching. Does anyone know of available jobs there now? I can leave sooner (anytime a few days from now) if necesary. |

I think Fleming is full. Try also UCV, El Cultural, El Britanico, Boston English, and that Institute on the corner of Larco and Espana that has all the pictures of the blond models on the front. |

I see that Fleming never updates their jobs available. for at least a year and a half their website in their opportunities section has not changed at all. Oh well I also am trying for work in Trujillo, but I want to start out right since I will be living permanently in Peru and not returning to the states. I can't wait. Teaching, culture, and ceviche forever. |

Hey Nico,
If you are interested in a job at Fleming. Send in your resume, to the head of dept and we will keep in on file. Her name is Hilary King and her email at fleming is [email protected]. If you are in the neighbourhood pop in and see us one day.
We don`t have anything at the moment, but you never know in the future. |

Gracias,
Luna Chica, I thank you tramendously. I chatted with Hilary and I explained my situation. I've been to Fleming with my family on Halloween of 2006. It has very nice facilities. Sr. Lescano and Mr. Nocker seem to be very nice gentlemen. I'll catch up in Trujillo when i get there. |
