Asking my students the other day regarding their upcoming examinations and how the studying is proceeding. They proclaimed their "Deng Xiao Ping Thought" course was really difficult. Having dabbled in Poli Sci at Uni, I never felt that such courses were terribly difficult, providing you had an understanding what what was being taught.
Obviously, I asked why?
Apparently adequate test answers must be written word-for-word from the text book. Word for fracking word.
This also is suppossed policy for their other local course as well, Hospitality Ethics class.
Most of use are aware of the reguritation/memorization style of local institutions, but I had no idea it was enforced with such rigor.
Principal Skinner (aka University Overlords) "Two independent thought alarms in one day, the students are over stimulated." "Willie, remove the colored chalk from the classrooms...." |

Same examination standards at my university. Even for a serious course like international trade.
Training the bright minds of today for tomorrow's new superpower.
One almost sympathizes with the exam proctors who willfully allow their students to cheat for these exams. |

My wife wants to do a masters - the drawback - the political exam - which is a must for enrollment. And yes its word for word spewing of the official record!!!!!
The only people who are allowed to proceed without taking this exam - are those students who have been good members of student party organisations |
