I'd like to get info on the job situation in Chengdu and/or Shuangliu (the town where the Chengdu airport is located).

Specifically, can anyone recommend any good places to work? Also, which schools should I avoid at all costs?

you would be wise to avoid teaching out where the airport is. ive been out that way several times, and nothing there but heavy industry and very run-down tenement type living. you would find nothing in the way of entertainment and would probably be the only foreigner as im sure they all scatter once they get a look at the place.

i worked there for a year (chengdu) at delter. you will read lots of bad stuff about them on this and other forums, but i had nothing but good experiences there. the people, by and large, are just great. i had a string of bad luck with my health, and they always supported me. you can check out their web site the "mt royal" icon is chengdu's school. chengdu people are tops - you've made an excellent choice.
