does anybody know of any english schools in cartagena that don�t require a working visa?

As in most Latin American countries (but not all) - my best advice is just to turn up, and go to the schools, and there are a few in Cartagena, especially geared to giving the locals knowledge of English to work in the tourist industry, for which Cartagena is famous.

Unless you work at an International school, you will not get rich in Cartagena, and will be lucky to earn enough to stay at subsistence level. The disadvanage of Cartagena is the tourist industry, and you will be lumped together with all of those people and pay higher prices.

I would rather work in Bucaramanga, where there is very little in the way of tourism.

One of the problems with Colombia is that even if you get a job and enter and leave every few months, you are not allowed to reside in the country for more than 6 months during one calendar year.

Will others please confirm the above?
