Hello everyone!
I am having troubles deciding on where to go? I want to be in a Latin culture, money doesnt mean to much as long as I can pay the bills thats fine. I dont have a degree, but I recently started volunteering at a local ESL school to get some experience. The soonest I can leave would be the beginning of April, and I know this kind of limits the field a little bit...
I have heard Mexico has lots of jobs, but I have also heard lots of horror stories.
Any suggestions would be great! I would love to hear some good and bad of almost anywhere!
And last but not least...If I dont get offered and job by April I was planning on just going anyways and applying in person. Will I be left out in the cold if I do so?

First you should post this in the General Latin America forum and you should spend some time reading the country specific forums to get a better handle on what's out there.
Mexico is one of the largest countries in Latin America and the US's neighbor so it's no surprise to find the most jobs there.
Costa Rica and Ecuador also seem to offer a lot of opportunities. Then Chile and Peru, followed Colombia. There are a lot of jobs in Argentina, but it's very hard to break even there. In Brazil it can be hard to find legal work. None of the other countries are impossible, but maybe a lot harder for a newbie to get a job and as everywhere it is often a matter of luck--being in the right place at the right time.
Latin America is a large and varied place. I'd also suggest you spend some time at the library reading up on different countries--the Insights or Eye Witness travel guides are good for giving you a feel for the country--to see if any one of them is more attractive to you.

Try the LA forum. Expect about 500 to 1000USd a month. If you can get into an internatoinal school, they pay better.
Every country has good stories and horror stories.
If you decide to go, you'll probably have a job within two weeks.

Mexico City has a lot of positions for Business English in corporate environments as well as English at collegios, (i.e. grades K-9). You don`t need to line up the job beforehand as no one will hire you sight unseen. I was offered 7 classes the first week I was here. A young woman, only 23, was offered a grade school position the first week here, (3 weeks ago.) There will be a lot of positions coming up in the next two weeks as there is a lot of turnover in MX City during Semana Santa, (Holy week)
