				| Mystic flower, it's true that Choueifat pays their romanian teachers less than the others. Same goes for S. Africans, too. And they don't pay the English-speaking nationalities very much, either. You'll want to do extensive research on SABIS/CHoueifat (there are loads on posts on this board) if you're considering work with them. | |

you might also not go around hijacking other people's topics - there's not really that much activity over here - am not sure why you interjected such a different topic in this thread but it really was as unnecessary as asking a question you could have searched for - I mean, did you even try?

I know I at least did a modicum of research before posting here as well as external research to support any responses I would have received.

				| Wow, out of naivety and being a greenhorn with forums- I was not aware of certain etiquette or rules or how you name it- I managed to get people upset, angry..... honestly i am shocked. I had o bad intentions nor hidden reasons to post here....it's like those at my school- the old people who lived -worked during communism and had high positions in school back then...instead of taking care of us the younger teachers and when we make mistakes tel and and explain to us what to do a not to make mistakes again, we just get scolded .....now that so many of you have so much experience with teaching...does a student learn better if he is dealt with the rough way?
Like I wrote to smb before...I now realize it was not nice to change the topic to religion. Believe me I have no hidden intentions and whatever I have in mind I ask. It's very important for me to know there's a church near the place just in case I might end up in the ME. Probably to you there's no difference but to me there's. For ex. in Romania , Pentecostals are still a bit the old fashioned way ,women wearing scarves all the time outside church too, and the sermons are very different from those in the US. I have been in the US : CA and OR , 5 years ago and went to RO-AM pentecostal churches and only American pentecostal ones, and the women are more emancipated and service is different. So I was curios how one feels about things in ME , but looks like I'm into too much detail....The important thing is to fell God's presence.

Ok, I agree I need to be more calculated and organized . I appreciate the advice more than you imagine.

I'm really sorry again, I don't want to cause trouble, and I appreciate the 'enlightenment' and I'd feel better to know that people are not angry of upset with me.

I may have been more blunt about this in my previous post, but this is EXACTLY the thing that set me off. I've had a round of PM with the concerned party giving some more positive feedback (going to the Newbie or General forums, using the Search function, starting her own "religion" thread, etc...) rather than hijacking a thread. I regret having to have made such a strong point, but I'm interested on how single women view the U.A.E. and, after an extended spell in Riyadh, definately don't want to be suckered into a conversation on religion.

I stand by my opinion, seconded by OP, that a small attempt at research be done by posters, both new and old, before trying to put the onus on those who have something to contribute to the thread at hand.

Really, even an obviously false disclaimer of "I've looked and looked and can't find any information" would be more appreciated other that the implied "Do this research for me as my time is sooo much important than yours"

I, in fact, started a kind of financial and property buying thread in this forum a few months ago because posters had hijacked the "70% pay raise" speculation a while back. The thread hijackers were so grateful for a legitimate thread being created for them that they never posted on it as I had posted the statement that maybe people could get back on topic on the original thread.

Anyway, whether or not moonshine agrees with my sentiments, I applaude her post and look forward to more responsible and enlightening posts on this thread.

This is not the case of people being mad at you. Please, don't make it personal. It's more like "Hate the sin, but love the sinner". Hijacking a thread is something like somebody getting into an idling car and driving off. It's just wrong!

I gave you some advice in the PM that, I think, if you employ, will help you greatly in your quest. Good Luck!

Now, shall we end this and get back to the thread topic?

				| I leaned my lesson and of course your advice helped and others ' too. I don't even know or at least knew what hijacking the posts means...but now I get it
I'm really really sorry. I had no idea what I was doing, and I definitedly did not want to change the topic of the thread. I am so new to these things forums. so on..and it shocked me to see that people get mad at me for just asking if someone has been been to a church and how she liked it there....but now I learned I must not mix topics. I'm really really sorry but I had no idea about the way things work.

Thank you for understanding and you patience and of course the advice.
   Bless ya all.

				| actually I honestly don't believe you are such a novice at forums, Mystic, and all your profuse apologies are rolling right over my back - if I didn't know better I'd even use the word TROLL
at any rate, yes, I do appreciate others getting us back on track.

				| For clarification. In case mysticflower is confused.
 From Wikipedia
An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial and usually irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, with the intention of baiting other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.

 Etymology
The contemporary use of the term first appeared on Usenet groups in the late 1980s. It is thought to be a truncation of the phrase trolling for suckers, itself derived from the fishing technique known as trolling. The word likely gained currency because of its apt second meaning, drawn from the trolls portrayed in Scandinavian folklore and children's tales; they are often ugly, obnoxious creatures bent on mischief and wickedness.

If you read this board regularly, we constantly have newbies who ask an off topic question in the middle of another thread.

There are plenty of trolls here on Dave's, but Mystic doesn't even come close. In fact, this is enough of an over-reaction to qualify you as a troll. You come back two weeks after the thread has died to attack her??? Again??
