Greetings,
Im an elementary grade 5 homeroom teacher in a Korean K12 school in China.
I want to run a task based keypals exchange, Im looking for (a) partner school(s) to work with. The project would work by exchanging typed/scanned work by email. I have run a similar project from a primary school in Indonesia in conjunction with a school in New Zealand, which was generally successful and really interesting/stimulating for teachers and students.
The aims are:
* for the students to learn about each other/get to know each other by completing structured tasks.
* to highlight/demonstrate/discover aspects of different/students own cultures.
* to engender communicative (less academic) second/foreign language use.
Ive got some nice ideas for structured tasks to get started and of course I am open to new ones. The first one I would like to do questions our ability to judge character by appearance. It would involve setting a simple writing task for the students, collecting all their work and emailing the work to me, and vice versa.
So I'm looking for someone, preferably an elementary grade 5 teacher working in a different part of the world, to coordinate the exchange. If youre interested and would like to hear more, I would really like to hear from you:

or PM me on this site and I can email you.
Warm regards,
