I'll be arriving in Taipei in a couple of weeks and I'll be staying in Zhonghe. When I looked it up on Google maps, I saw some landmark symbols with no explanations. I'm familiar with the 7-11's, but can someone shed some light on what the "heart", "OK", and "red circle" icons stand for? The map is below. Thanks.

the OKs and red circles are convenience marts similar to 7-11s. the swastikas are buddhist locations (either temples are buddhist/vegetarian eateries). |

As Killian said.
heart - High life convenience store
OK - Is "OK" also known as Circle K convenience store
Red Circle is Family Mart convenience store.
The biggest difference between the stores are their food products for prepared food. Other than that it is pretty much the same.
I live close to Zhong He so PM me if you get here and need something to do. Probably play pool and have a few beers. |
