| Anahiem University is NOT a complete distance program. They require that you attend 2 intensive four-day "residential sessions." These take place at the Alliant University Campus in San Diego and they have also been offered in Tokyo and Hawaii. |

| I don't know how much it matters to those of you not working in the US, but Anahiem University is not accredited by any private, regional, or national accrediting association. I think if you were going to try to use the degree to teach at a community college, for example, this would be a problem. |
I would run screaming from any program offeredby a non-accredited university in the States - either it's really sub-standard or is too new to have a track-record to be objectively evaluated on. |

Augh! I didn't actually look up accreditations for Anaheim...but not accredited is DEFINITELY a deal breaker.
What good is an MA if it isn't going to be recognised?

I don't want to preach to the converted here but if it isn't accredited or recognized by CHEA then don't do it. I completed (about 85%) of an MBA program that I realised to late was not accredited. Open Commonwealth University of the UK.
If you want to have the knowledge go to the library or bookstore and buy the books. Paying for something that is not accredited or recognised is like paying ten times for the books because all you will have at the end of the course is the knowledge. The degree isn't worth S***. |

| acornrevolution-- I think Indiana's MS Language Education with emphasis in TESL looks OK. Seems like there are lots of elective to choose from and can be done completely distance. |
