Hello Everyone!
I am a certified teacher looking for a job in Indonesia which would begin in approximately one month. I am interested in teaching with a National Plus school, that will sign teachers on for one year. I want to stay away from Jakarta and Medan. I have tried the Jakarta Post online, but can't seem to locate the classifieds--is it possible to view teaching vaccancies with JP online. If anyone has any information, I would greatly appreciate you help.

A wise, wise move...
Did you look at this web page in your internet search?

Thanks ls650,
I have sent my resume to many of the school listed on:
http://www.expat.or.id/orgs/plusschools.html
I am hoping for the best, as I have just sent my applications off recently, but I may be just another piece of paper to the school directors and I hear that they like to meet thier teachers in person (a wise practise), before they sign them on. I am hoping that some of you may have information about specific schools that are hiring. If anyone knows of anywhere that I can find online job postings for National Plus schools, that also would be helpful. I check daves, and tefl.com. on a daily basis, but I have seen a National Plus school listed only once.
Thanks again

Hi, you've selected not such a good time to apply to National Plus. The school year begins in June or July. So most schools wouldn't hire someone in February/March as the year would be close to over. If you don't mind sitting it out a little, I'd imagine you're best hope would be to find a position beginning in the new school year.
Also, National Plus do most of their recruiting at recruitment fairs in Western nations.
Good luck |

Thanks for the information Rayman, it is very helpful, but disheartening. If only one could turn back the clock.
