Any opinions as to which job offer is better - assuming comparable salaries?
The foundation program at ZU vs the UGRU of UAEU?
What about - as a single person - living in Al Ain versus Abu Dhabi?

Depends on what you like.
Abu Dhabi is a city. It has traffic 24/7. It's big and noisy, and has lots of avenues to separate you from your hard-earned AED.
AA is a little more quaint. It reminds me of Ithaca, NY.
I wish I'd known more about AA before I moved to the UAE. It's more my flavor of town. |

I do like cities - I have been to Dubai. How similar would you say it is to Dubai in terms of nightlife? Nearly the same, or is it much more subdued?

Most people say that the nightlife of AD is a bit more subdued, and it is probably ... very quiet in AA.
As to the jobs, ZU is a very high-tech, rather high-pressure place while UAEU is more laid back... and from what we have read here lately a bit lacking in the modern educational bells and whistles. (though new buildings are supposedly in the works for next year... try a search here for the discussion)
