Primary school suspends classes for two weeks
2008-05-22 HKT 01:10
A school in Yuen Long - the WF Joseph Lee Primary School - has suspended primary 1 & 2 classes for two weeks starting from today following the discovery of a new case of hand foot and mouth disease. A seven year-old girl has been confirmed as suffering from the disease. Earlier in the month, six other students from the school showed symptoms and one was confirmed to have been infected with Enterovirus-71 - which can cause a more severe form of hand, foot and mouth. |
