Who knows? We who are toiling away on this mismanaged shambles of a project certainly don't . My greatest hope is that the new bod is not addicted to the notion of ramming Academic IELTS down everybody's throats, but I'm not holding my breath on that one. |

Well there's a huge shakeup at SABIS/International School of Choueifat. Almost nobody is coming back for next year, and (unconfirmed) rumor is that executive staff has been called to account and moved.
I discourage anyone from joining the SABIS PPP program.
As far as IELTS goes, we haven't been able to keep a trainer for more than three months, so we've done almost no PD or academic prep at all with the teachers. I don't know if this is the same with other providers. We started with TOEFL and the switched to IELTS. |

Something must be happening! I did the interview, was offered the job, and then this email arrived a couple days ago.

Dear Candidate,
Regretfully, due to further negotiations with Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC)and various changes made to the original proposal, we are no longer

ADEC were taking bid proposals from quite a few companies. The decision as to which companies to use was made recently. I wonder if the company you applied to had advertised for staff on the assumption that they would be given schools, and then have just found out that they didn't get any? As far as I am aware, the project will continue to expand. Keep your eyes open for jobs advertised with other companies who DID get the schools! |

ADEC requires that each person in the PPP schools have at least 3 years of experience, a teaching qualification, and native or near-native levels of English.
At least ONE of the providers this year did not adhere to this rule and hired lots of recent graduates and other underqualified people, who are now being forced to leave at the end of the year when they planned on staying and haven't looked for other jobs.
If you don't have those qualifications, then they can't put you in a PPP school. If you have what you need, then I'm not sure what's going on there. |

I have all those qualifications (and more). I just got the impression ADEC has changed something. Or the company I applied with didn't get as many schools as they thought they would and therefore sent out the letter I received.
Not happy having to look for a job this late in the year. |

I think I can guess which one was surely guilty of this: Starts w/ an "S" and end in a "S". |
