Let's see, I taught in Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Thailand on my own. With the US government, I have taught in Slovakia, Japan, and Djibouti and am leaving for Afghanistan in one week. So, that would make seven countries. I began teaching in 1995.

Czech Rep, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Canada, Russia (briefly).
But I'm not a TEFL butterfly, flitting around...maybe those guys aren't posting here?

I am sure there are people out there with many more countries on their tally...

Let's see...In order (and only counting ESL/EFL) - Mexico, Lebanon, Indonesia, China, Vietnam, Spain (briefly, but still...), and the United States. That's it, so 7. Weird. Used to live in New Zealand, too, but I wasn't a teacher there. Not bad I guess, considering I'm not making an effort to break whatever the record might be. By the way, I started in 1996.

Ukraine, Mexico, Argentina, India, Russia. Five, and it'll probably stay on that number for quite a few years. I started in 2001.

In terms of offbeat or unusual destinations, this selection must take some beating.
