Anyone know of events in your city/town for today? I haven't looked for any, but I'm sure there'll be a bar or two here with something on this eve. |

Democrats Abroad "Go Obama" Picnic
Dear Fellow Democrat,
You are invited to the Democrats Abroad "Go Obama" Picnic, this Sunday July 6th. This is an important opportunity for our group to get together, get to know each other, and get active. We very much hope that you can be with us.
The event will be held near the Bellavista Golf Course. Please contact Susannah Glusker at [email protected] or Carolyn Lippert at 5557-1482 or [email protected] to make your reservation and get directions.
This is a potluck, so please bring something to eat or drink. See you there!
About Young Democrats Abroad Mexico - (YoDems!) We are a unit of Democrats Abroad, the official organization of the Democratic Party outside of the US, with representation in over 30 countries. YDA coordinates activities for young Democrats active within country committees around the world to further its goals of connecting Americans with US politics and the Democratic Party, registering, informing and motivating voters, supporting candidates, holding informative events and raising resources. |

Canada Day fell on a Tuesday unfortunately. July 4 being a Friday, I thought there might have been some events going on somewhere. |

I was wished Happy Independence Day by someone who knows perfectly well I am Canadian. She said she thought we must have the same holidays. So much for my personal education campaign about my country. |

By the same logic, you can wish them happy Independence Day back... neighbouring country, must celebrate the same holidays. |
