International Education Centre in Medan North Sumatra
Has anybody taught at this school? I was wondering what the salary is like, so i would like to hear from current and former teachers who taught there?
Does anybody know about anything Medan, and how does it compare to Jakarta with reguard to weather, congestion, cost of living, and how easy or hard is it to travel to Singapore or Malaysia?
Any information on the school or Medan would be helpful. Thanx |

This is a joke right? I mean virtually every other post in the last couple of weeks has been on Medan. I try hard to not be sarcastic, but if this is representative of your ability to gather knowledge then I would hate to see your attempts at teaching it. |

If you have bothered to read all of my post then you would have known that I have asked some questions not answered in the previous posts about Medan.
Maybe next time you will read all of [b]my post before replying.
Nabby there is no such thing as a stupied question, only stupied people who jump to conclusions.
I think you should worry more about your own teaching ability then to question mine. |

It's hard to argue with the first part of the sentence, and this link: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=stupied goes some way to explaining the second half... |

I actually did go back and look through to see if you had asked any questions in the posts I presented. You didn't. Not one.
Take the hint and start being a little more invested in your own interests! And here I was, trying to be nice about it.

I think it's easy to get by on the salary (6,500,000 to start); shared housing all inclusive.
However, the school itself is. . . . in a word . . . . "demotivating".
All the teachers are talking about leaving, and the only method the management can think of to encourage teachers to follow the rules (the newest one is no reading newspapers during office hours ) is to cut the employee's bonus.
(No doubt this post will mean a deduction of my own) |
