I will be leaving China shortly. When I leave, I'll have been here for close to 5 years. I started planning my stint in China using Dave's site. Many of you helped me even before I got here. I don't see many of those names around anymore. Like me, they possibly lurk, but don't post. Or like I'm sure to become, they've simply moved on. Either way, their/your help at the time is still appreciated because I remember only too well how I was more terrified than excited about moving here.

I will most certainly leave out a few names, but I won't do so intentionally. I recall the following being very helpful, esp earlier on:
naturegirl321
Roger
johnslat
TaoyuanSteve
North China Laowei
ellenjane
killian

Thank you, those mentioned above & the vast number of unnamed posters, for all your help these past 5 years. Your advice delivered professionally & with the right amount of patience & compassion helped in ways you'd never understand. So keep doing what you do so well. You won't always get feedback over your efforts, but please know that it is worth your while.

So what's next for me? How many times is it possible for me to turn 180 & still not land up in the same spot? Here's what I mean. I was a:
Nurse Clinician in Saudi Arabia
Computer Programmer in Canada
ESL Teacher in China
And next, I'm going to try become a:
Social Worker in India

Running around the circle of life. Or am I just running around in circles? Wink

Best wishes to all of you,
Kate

They say that 'variety is the spice of life'.

Keep turning, and each time you stop at something / somewhere new, just think about all the people back home with their dreary day in/day out routines; those people who don't have the 'bottle' to get up and do, and just sit thinking 'if only......'

Then, go and enjoy yet another new experience.

Good luck.

Dear Kate C.,

May Almighty God, through the prayers of His Most Blessed Mother and in the eyes of all of the Saints of Heaven, keep you always safe and from harm and guide you in your journeys.
