"If you break the contract, I think you will have to pay 8000rmb as a fine, a contract is a contract!!!! If you don't pay it after you breaking the contract when you signed it, You will be send to the blacklist of Chinese inigration, it means that you will never be permited to get a Chinese visa in the future."

And many other problems with this recruiter. He goes by Sang Xing, Bryan Wang, Frank Zhang, and perhaps other names. He uses this contact information:

It's Frank Zhang again and he is all over this Board.

And discard all of his verbage as trash into an overflowing trash bin. I have used him in the past with some success actually but I have probably been alone in that regard. He delivered what he promised he would deliver.

On the other hand, no, you will be able to find another job in China and to make the blacklist in an indelible manner your crime must be truly heinous.

"You will never work in China again."

I heard that mumbo jumbo over and over again from slime before I left. It intimidated me at first, then I realized I should not listen to intimidators.

Now if China wasnt so darn full of em!! Rolling Eyes

"I think You will be reported to Chinese Embassy and China Foreign Expert Bureau about your dishonesty. If you really want to break the contract and don't honour the signed contract, Your name will be palced the blacklist of Chinese Immigration. Maybe You don't know that those foreign people who don't keep their promise and don't honour their contracts so as to make Chinese Schools miss the good golden time to hire new foreign teachers are most hateful in Chinese Foreign Epxerts fields. Everybody Chinese wants to eat those gangsters alive. As I told you many times, you made us miss the golden time to look for foreign teachers. You kept ONLY say sorry, but sorry is really not enough. You don't know how bad to us and our students it is when you want to break the contract. Anyhow, We are still dreaming that you can honour the contract, Please give up the breaking dirty idea. Many thanks. many thanks again!!!"

I'm contemplating writing a series of dystopic pulp action novels where the evil mastermind is modeled after this "Frank Zhang ." I have never met the man, dealt with him, or even know what he looks like, but all of the horror stories floating about him on the internet have given me this image of a man who resembles the late actor Mako, but behaves in a manner similar to Hans Blofeld. I imagine him living in a Bruce Wayne-like fortified manor, complete with pet piranha he keeps in a tank. He smokes his cigarettes filterless, always wears black gloves, dresses in a tangjuan, has long pinky nails on both hands and wears buddhist amulets around his neck. He's diabolical.

OK, guys, this is what I know. Frank is based in Shanghai. He claims that his father is a chief-of-police or something-or-other. Story number one. He's actually younger than he sounds and well, if you are a nice, charming male ESL teacher, you might get a nice job out of him -- and a few other unwanted perks. He doesn't do marketing at all -- he just "appropriates" the jobs that are all over the "Net, tacks his logo onto them and then tells the prospective client that he a perfect candidate for them. If you can't come to Shanghai to meet him, and you are a nice charming young male ESL guy, he would be happy to meet you on the webcam for some personal introductions. That's all I know about him directly and from my colleagues who have had the mispleasure of meeting him.
